The Beginning of Summer ’16

Hey Glowers!

I know I have some explaining to do. And I think you’re going to be able to appreciate this because so many of my centers of influence have told me how they wish they could’ve done what I just did.

I’ve just completed a Digital Detox that involved months of not being online and giving myself the permission to live authentically offline, develop more enriching relationships with the people who were around me, with my clients, with some of my networking friends on social media, and even with some of my followers.

During my detox I was working on building websites and marketing/branding collateral for clients – and then they would start to refer me – and before you knew it I was creating platforms for other people and somewhat neglecting my own. I’ve also been working on a few other projects, consulting and creating additional streams of income. I realized, actually, that I was getting more clients (and a few more coins) by word of mouth/referral and not necessarily through social media.

So, I’ve had to take on the challenge of getting back to empowering women through my Go and Glow!brand online, yet still finding balance in growing my business offline as much as possible. And can I be completely honest? In a lot of ways I feel I’ve graduated from social media engagement. I just don’t have the time to be on there as much as I did last year. You know how you feel bad when you go to your family reunion and you know you hadn’t been in touch with a lot of family and you don’t really know what’s going on in their lives? That’s how I sort of feel now. Some of my followers have had some amazing things happen in their businesses and brands – and in their lives, and I’ve missed those things within the last few months. And some of you have emailed me and checked on me and filled me in on what’s been going on and have shared your accomplishments, and I’m so appreciative of that! And so proud of everyone. And a little sad I wasn’t there to hi-five you on your courage and girlboss-ness. (Is that a word?)  Also, I have a little shrine of the cards, notes and emails you guys sent me – which filled my love tank all the way up. Thank You.

But for those who are still feeling a bit confused, disempowered or unchampioned – I’m here to lift you back up and to get you off that social media addiction (unless you’re using it to make money) and into your passion. It’s definitely time for you to stop watching everyone else and start detoxing from things that distract you from your purpose.

I was thinking about having a call soon where we could all share some of the awesome breakthroughs we’ve been having as well as some Q & A on what you could be doing to go to the very next level, even if it’s a tiny baby step level.  Would you be interested in that? If so, reply back and let me know. I would absolutely love to talk to you and hear what you’ve done, what you need and how you want to start the 2nd part of this year off.

In the meantime, if you’re in the Atlanta area I’ll be a panelist at the Unlocked Summit this coming Saturday and I’ll be sharing how to UNLOCK YOUR GLOW. When I tell you I am SO EXCITED about this summit because the founders are amazing women who share so many of the same philosophies as me regarding female empowerment and entrepreneurship. And they’ve built this amazing community of women who all are on the same path as you and who are trying to find the resources to build their empires. They’ve had summits in Detroit, Chicago and now it’ll be here in Atlanta this Friday and Saturday June 3 & 4.

So, come out and see me and the other speakers and panelists and let’s catch up! They’re even offering a discount on your ticket if you use my code “GOANDGLOW” on the Eventbrite website. So don’t wait til the last minute because there are only a few tickets left. Click >> here  <<.

And again, if you’re interested in the conference call, reply back and I’ll put one together for all of us.

GO AND GLOW!

XO, Natasha

Don’t Ignore God’s Assignment for You

Hey Glowers!

Today I had an appointment with a client who I’m so proud of. She’s creating a brand to empower the youth. She hired me to do her marketing collateral and she shared a lot of her journey with me for the past 2 months that I was grateful she shared with me. Of all the setbacks, disappointments and no’s she got from people while organizing this event, she kept going and was determined to see her project to the finish line because of her assignment from God. Today is her inaugural event in her hometown and she’ll be teaching young girls about AIDS awareness and prevention, proper nutrition and life skills. She said that there was no one in her small hometown who had ever had a big event like this and she wanted to reach out to them and show the girls that she cares. Now imagine how blessed those girls are going to be to receive information and love from her!

I got inspired by that because I’m also working on my #GoandGlowKidsandTeens platform and I understand that as much as I love working with women, I also have to continue to reach back to our young girls and empower them. Mentoring and teaching kids has always been a HUGE part of my existence, and I know it’s one of those things that’s innate for me. But with all of the other components of my marketing and branding business and with the podcast and the blog – I’ve somehow managed to ignore what I think will probably be one of the most important and urgent assignments from God for me – to speak wisdom, love and truth into the kids.

Working with my client and seeing how relentless she was to make this event happen today because of her mission to carry out God’s assignment really made me want to share that with you … and hopefully inspire you to not forget or ignore your assignment from God for your life.

god's assignment for you

So, what is it? Have you already shared it with me? Have you ever thought about what it is? We have several assignments from God, but what is that ONE that HE wants to use you for to impact the world? What are you letting get in the way of not getting done? Relationships? Social life? Married life? Motherhood? Work? That bomb salary and paid vacation? I hope not. I shared this on Facebook about letting that job get in the way of your assignment:

Today I’m blogging about God promising you way more than a matched 401k, a $100,000 salary and a week’s vacation to Hawaii. You have to learn to not get comfortable with that raise or promotion or the paid vacations, and you have to really figure out what’s going to make YOU happy and how you can impact the world with your own business. You have amazing ideas. You have opinions that matter. And what you have to offer the world will make a difference. You have to believe that and be convicted of it. You deserve an abundant life. Don’t get too comfortable and too proud of yourself. Know that you could be making 10x the amount you’re making now doing something that comes from your heart. And you could be making 10x the impact on people who could benefit from your gifts. So don’t forget to work on your own business while you’re working for someone else. God gave YOU an assignment. Don’t ignore it.

Signed,

The Girl Who’s Working on Her Assignment from God with The Go and Glow Project.

I just felt compelled to share that during working hours with my personal friends and family because a lot of them may sit at work and scroll Facebook, bored, wishing they didn’t have to do that meaningless job. And a lot of them may have amazing, purposeful, good-paying jobs but just not purposeful for what they want to do from their own hearts. So, I’m sharing the status with you with the intention to get you to think about your assignment and be aware of what you’re here to do on this Earth. And beg you to realize how urgent it is to start on it … NOW!

How to Profit from Your Passion

Hey GLOWERS!

I know you’ve been working hard since my last post, but I just wanted to pop back in to see how things have been going from a creative and marketing standpoint? Have you been taking action with those brilliant ideas you have? Have you been doing 1 or 2 things for your business everyday? I hope so. In my head I like to imagine that you have been on the phone closing deals, getting mentored and crafting creative ideas for your business! That’s way more fun! But I know that the reality may be that life can sometimes get in the way and several people may have told you ‘no’ and no one has time to sit down and mentor you (except me!) and you’ve run out of creative ideas to brand and market yourself and/or your business.

Well, if that latter scenario somewhat describes your life, or if you have a girlfriend who’s been experiencing those slumps in her business and in her life – I want to invite you to my FREE virtual workshop called Idea to Income: The Art of Profiting From Your Passion tonight March 24th at 9pm EST/8pm CST.

idea to income webinar
As you may remember, in January, myself and Courtney Sanders of Think and Grow Chick, hosted a live workshop here in Atlanta called Launch Your Life and we received so many positive reviews and very meaningful feedback about the curriculum and the activities. And we also got tons of emails from women around the country – and in the UK – asking us to come to their city or country with the Launch Your Life workshop. But since it took quite a bit of time putting together that one live workshop –  we realize we don’t have the time to immediately plan to go on tour. Yet, we still want to connect with the women who couldn’t attend the one in Atlanta and we want to give away the information we taught as quickly as possible because we understand that there are some businesses on the line and there are some women with amazing ideas who need to get started implementing those ideas like YESTERDAY!

So, we’ve decided to host this webinar and add a few new strategies and help you and more women profit from your passion! If you weren’t able to attend the live event and you don’t even know where to start with your business, please join our webinar party and have some fun learning and masterminding with us!  Click here to register for FREE now.

We even tried to accomodate you by not scheduling it during Scandal or Empire! We get some cool points for that at least, right? 😉

The Idea to Income Webinar is TOTALLY FREE! You just need to sign up by clicking this link, as I won’t be sending out the replay to my newsletter list; only to those who signed up for it.

If you want to learn strategies to brand and market yourself and your business, or if you’re already doing a great job and just want to do a check-off list of what you could be doing differently, OR if you want to give some tips to the other women who will be attending the webinar (we’ll have a chat box for questions and comments that we’ll answer live) please join us! We love teaching just as much as we love learning! Plus, we have some Millennial women like you who will attend to network with other powerful women your age and who wants to make some new friends. We’ll have some social media interaction and that’s always cool because you can connect with like-minded women and see what everyone is up to with their platforms.

So, click here if you’re interested. If not, no worries. I’ll be creating other resources for you to use really soon!

I hope you have an amazing rest of the week and I’ll be in touch soon!

Podcast Episode 013: My Mirror and Me with Madison Sampson

Hey Glowers!

This is a very special episode of Go and Glow! As part of the new Go and Glow Kids & Teens program that I’m launching, I’m bringing younger girls and teens onto the platform to share their entrepreneurial and inspirational journeys, and I’m going to be building a community for them to learn about personal development and creative entrepreneurship with courses, workshops and products from the Go and Glow Academy.

So, how exciting is it that my first kidpreneur and guest is a dynamic, 4 year-old author named Madison Sampson who wrote a book called My Mirror and Me: I Can Be Anything I Want to Be! Madison was born prematurely and was in the NICU for 83 days while doctors told her mother, Realtor and Entrepreneur Kye Sampson, that running, jumping and becoming a ballerina would be almost impossible for Madi because of her benign paroxymal veritgo of childhood condition (BPVC). But Madi has defeated all odds and is an energetic, active and creative entrepreneur who teaches other children in her book that they shouldn’t be defined by what other people tell them they can’t do. Vicariously through the princess, astronaut and other characters in My Mirror and Me – Madi shows how children can be anything they want to be if they use their imagination and define themselves by what they make of their reflections in the mirror and through positive self-esteem. She hopes to empower kids to believe in themselves and to not let society put limitations on them. Amazing, right!?

My Mirror and Me: I Can Be Anything I Want to Be can be purchased on Amazon here and will officially launch on March 21, 2015, which also happens to be 2 days after her 5th birthday! Madison is having a book signing in Sugarland, TX at the Brilliant Sky Toys and Books Store on the same day as the launch from 2-3pm.

You can follow the book and the My Mirror and Me organization on Facebook, Instagram and on their website.

To learn more about kids and teens like Madison or to listen to adult female entrepreneurs share their stories, subscribe to my Go and Glow! with Natasha Cole podcast on iTunes or for my newsletter on my blog at www.GoandGlowProject.com. And to book me for a marketing, branding or website design consultation for your business, email me at Natasha@GoandGlowProject.com.

Happy International Women’s Day!

Hey Glowers!

I just wanted to celebrate you and your awesomeness today! Today, March 8th, is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. While there are still many inequities for women in a male-driven society, we have come so far and we’ve created amazing pathways of businesses, brands, education and alliances for our daughters to follow in our footsteps and continue our legacy of greatness.

So, I hope you did something today to honor your accomplishments and the accomplishments of our fellow peers, our mothers and grandmothers, our ancestors, and those who we don’t know personally – but who we know to be powerful, successful trailblazers. Because without these women, we wouldn’t be able to walk in our greatness and we wouldn’t have this very special and important day that honors all of us.

I wish you happiness, prosperity and purposeful living today and always, WOMAN!

3 Steps to Get What You Want This Week

What Do You Want For Your Life This Week?

3 Steps To Get What You Want and Be More Excited About Mondays

Hey Glowers,

Happy Monday! I wanted to send you some positive energy today because I know that you’re going to log on to social media and everyone will be posting how upset they are that it’s Monday. They’ll post those “Can I have a weekend re-do?” and those “Monday, I hate you.” posts that will have you either ‘liking’ them to fit in or because you actually feel the same way. So, I’m here to be that friend and coach to say that you don’t have to feel that way. And you don’t have to ‘like’ those posts to appear to be a part of that gang that’s always looking for a reason to say ‘Life is unfair,’ or ‘Life can be so hard.’

I want to give you 3 ways to get what you want out of life this week. I want you to feel empowered to do something to change your feelings about Mondays. I want you to plan your week out today so that you can get excited on Mondays because you’ve got something to look forward to! Like when you know you’re going to a concert a few days from now – don’t you talk about it to your friends and think about what you’re going to wear? Or when you plan an international trip with your friends. My God-Sister, Chimere, literally packs her suitcase 2 weeks before her trips because she’s so excited (and organized!) and she has something fun to look forward to.

So, let’s make your Mondays feel like that! Here’s how:

Step 1: Create a Morning Ritual
We are creatures of habit. We develop ourselves and get results by what we consistently do. So, this week create a morning ritual to start your day powerfully and with intention. My morning ritual goes like this: I try to wake up at the same time (but the snooze button has been too accessible so I need to hide my phone at night or move the alarm clock farther away from me). Then, I’ll meditate for about 20-25 minutes. This is when I decide whether I want to clear my thoughts and think of nothing and visualize a white, blank space … or this is when I want to visualize what I see for my day, who I want to connect with, who I want to motivate, who I want to coach, how much money I want to make for the day, how powerful I want to be and how amazing my energy and vibrancy will be. Next, I go run (if the weather permits) or I at least grab my weights and exercise ball and do something to break a sweat.

Of course I prepare a healthy breakfast to nourish myself, and then I record my eating habits, my water intake, my energy levels, how many hours of sleep I got and a few other things on my Mindful Eating Diary worksheet that I’ve created. (It’s FREE to download on my site. Click here and print out as many as you need and share them with your friends!) And finally, and what I think is the most important  – I write down 5 things that I’m thankful for, sometimes more than that. And then I’ll plan out my day by writing down what I need to get done, what’s high priority and what’s low priority, and how I plan to win for the day.

Now that I’ve shared my daily ritual, I want you to share yours. Email me back and let me know what you do to make your day successful.

Step 2: Make a List of Things That You’re Willing to Give Up for 7 Days
We all have people in our lives and activities that we do that no longer serves us. It’s hard to just get rid of them cold turkey, but if we learn how to slowly replace those distractors and disruptors in our lives with more productive, meaningful people and things – we learn to start living more purposeful and getting the things done that we need to get done. I created a podcast episode about this very topic called Mindset, Motivation, Mastery and Money. Take a listen here. It’s one of my most downloaded episodes so far and women have told me that after listening to this one, they’ve been able to focus more and surround themselves with more ambitious, successful people.

So, what will you give up this week? Scandal? Empire? Happy Hour? You’ve gotta give up something and do something in that time slot to get closer to your dreams. For an hour it’ll take you to watch one of those shows (which by the way is propaganda to get you to be hooked on watching TV instead of creating your own Empire) or meet your friends for a drink  – you could be buying your website domain, hiring someone to design your logo, researching/reading or masterminding with other like-minded entrepreneurs in your city. I just wrote on my Facebook page that last year I gave up TV and shopping. And I’m not telling you that to get a pat on the back. I’m sharing that with you so you’ll understand that my brand was able to grow because of the sacrifices I made in my personal life financially and socially.

So, let’s make a deal. You give up 3 things this week (for this week only…although I’m secretly hoping that like Lent you’ll want to fast from it permanently after the assignment) that no longer serve you and then you email me at the end of the week to tell me you’ve stuck to it and the breakthroughs you’ve had, and I’ll send you a free module and worksheet of my Go and Glow Audio Course + Workbook that I launched recently in my Go and Glow Academy. I want to see you win!

Step 3: Make 3 Actionable Steps in Your Business
So this is the last step. Do 3 things this week in your business that you can tangibly see results from. I mentioned above that you could get your logo designed and secure your domain name at GoDaddy.com. You could also write your business plan (Or at least complete 5 pages of it. You have to give a quantitative number or else you won’t have anything to measure.). You could go to the bank and open up a business account, file the papers to LLC your business with LegalZoom.com, or get your business cards and fliers made.

JUST.DO.SOMETHING.MEASURABLE.

You’ll feel so proud of yourself. I promise.

Email me back on Sunday night March 1, 2015. Click that date, create an event in your phone to put it in your calendar (as a reminder to send me an email) and let me know what you did in the week to get what you wanted out of life this week. And I’ll send you a free module and worksheet full of personal development and marketing strategies from my Go and Glow Audio Course as a prize for being so AWESOME! And as a thank you for taking my coaching and applying it to your life and your business.

And if you need any marketing, branding or life coaching OR if you need me to execute your business tasks for you, email me at Natasha@GoandGlowProject.com and let’s set up some strategy sessions to take you from where you are now to SUPERSTARDOM.

I can’t wait to hear back from you!

Hey Glowers!

In this episode, Life Coach and Blogger of the BeFree Project, Siobhan Sudberry talks to us about how getting laid off from work led her to pursue her dreams of running a successful coaching business and becoming a full-time blogger. She credits having helped so many women through coaching before she was laid off as the deciding factor to pursue it full-time, and how operating in her purpose even before she turned it into a business gave her perspective of what her gifts were … and that she needed to assist women in discovering their gifts as well.

Besides 1-on-1 coaching, Siobhan expands her platform to women by hosting her quarterly BeFree Life Classes, which are events where entrepreneurial women meet up to mastermind and learn and share life and business hacks.
