3 Steps to Get What You Want This Week

What Do You Want For Your Life This Week?

3 Steps To Get What You Want and Be More Excited About Mondays

Hey Glowers,

Happy Monday! I wanted to send you some positive energy today because I know that you’re going to log on to social media and everyone will be posting how upset they are that it’s Monday. They’ll post those “Can I have a weekend re-do?” and those “Monday, I hate you.” posts that will have you either ‘liking’ them to fit in or because you actually feel the same way. So, I’m here to be that friend and coach to say that you don’t have to feel that way. And you don’t have to ‘like’ those posts to appear to be a part of that gang that’s always looking for a reason to say ‘Life is unfair,’ or ‘Life can be so hard.’

I want to give you 3 ways to get what you want out of life this week. I want you to feel empowered to do something to change your feelings about Mondays. I want you to plan your week out today so that you can get excited on Mondays because you’ve got something to look forward to! Like when you know you’re going to a concert a few days from now – don’t you talk about it to your friends and think about what you’re going to wear? Or when you plan an international trip with your friends. My God-Sister, Chimere, literally packs her suitcase 2 weeks before her trips because she’s so excited (and organized!) and she has something fun to look forward to.

So, let’s make your Mondays feel like that! Here’s how:

Step 1: Create a Morning Ritual
We are creatures of habit. We develop ourselves and get results by what we consistently do. So, this week create a morning ritual to start your day powerfully and with intention. My morning ritual goes like this: I try to wake up at the same time (but the snooze button has been too accessible so I need to hide my phone at night or move the alarm clock farther away from me). Then, I’ll meditate for about 20-25 minutes. This is when I decide whether I want to clear my thoughts and think of nothing and visualize a white, blank space … or this is when I want to visualize what I see for my day, who I want to connect with, who I want to motivate, who I want to coach, how much money I want to make for the day, how powerful I want to be and how amazing my energy and vibrancy will be. Next, I go run (if the weather permits) or I at least grab my weights and exercise ball and do something to break a sweat.

Of course I prepare a healthy breakfast to nourish myself, and then I record my eating habits, my water intake, my energy levels, how many hours of sleep I got and a few other things on my Mindful Eating Diary worksheet that I’ve created. (It’s FREE to download on my site. Click here and print out as many as you need and share them with your friends!) And finally, and what I think is the most important  – I write down 5 things that I’m thankful for, sometimes more than that. And then I’ll plan out my day by writing down what I need to get done, what’s high priority and what’s low priority, and how I plan to win for the day.

Now that I’ve shared my daily ritual, I want you to share yours. Email me back and let me know what you do to make your day successful.

Step 2: Make a List of Things That You’re Willing to Give Up for 7 Days
We all have people in our lives and activities that we do that no longer serves us. It’s hard to just get rid of them cold turkey, but if we learn how to slowly replace those distractors and disruptors in our lives with more productive, meaningful people and things – we learn to start living more purposeful and getting the things done that we need to get done. I created a podcast episode about this very topic called Mindset, Motivation, Mastery and Money. Take a listen here. It’s one of my most downloaded episodes so far and women have told me that after listening to this one, they’ve been able to focus more and surround themselves with more ambitious, successful people.

So, what will you give up this week? Scandal? Empire? Happy Hour? You’ve gotta give up something and do something in that time slot to get closer to your dreams. For an hour it’ll take you to watch one of those shows (which by the way is propaganda to get you to be hooked on watching TV instead of creating your own Empire) or meet your friends for a drink  – you could be buying your website domain, hiring someone to design your logo, researching/reading or masterminding with other like-minded entrepreneurs in your city. I just wrote on my Facebook page that last year I gave up TV and shopping. And I’m not telling you that to get a pat on the back. I’m sharing that with you so you’ll understand that my brand was able to grow because of the sacrifices I made in my personal life financially and socially.

So, let’s make a deal. You give up 3 things this week (for this week only…although I’m secretly hoping that like Lent you’ll want to fast from it permanently after the assignment) that no longer serve you and then you email me at the end of the week to tell me you’ve stuck to it and the breakthroughs you’ve had, and I’ll send you a free module and worksheet of my Go and Glow Audio Course + Workbook that I launched recently in my Go and Glow Academy. I want to see you win!

Step 3: Make 3 Actionable Steps in Your Business
So this is the last step. Do 3 things this week in your business that you can tangibly see results from. I mentioned above that you could get your logo designed and secure your domain name at GoDaddy.com. You could also write your business plan (Or at least complete 5 pages of it. You have to give a quantitative number or else you won’t have anything to measure.). You could go to the bank and open up a business account, file the papers to LLC your business with LegalZoom.com, or get your business cards and fliers made.

JUST.DO.SOMETHING.MEASURABLE.

You’ll feel so proud of yourself. I promise.

Email me back on Sunday night March 1, 2015. Click that date, create an event in your phone to put it in your calendar (as a reminder to send me an email) and let me know what you did in the week to get what you wanted out of life this week. And I’ll send you a free module and worksheet full of personal development and marketing strategies from my Go and Glow Audio Course as a prize for being so AWESOME! And as a thank you for taking my coaching and applying it to your life and your business.

And if you need any marketing, branding or life coaching OR if you need me to execute your business tasks for you, email me at Natasha@GoandGlowProject.com and let’s set up some strategy sessions to take you from where you are now to SUPERSTARDOM.

I can’t wait to hear back from you!

Finding Beauty in Nature

posted in: Uncategorized | 0

Hey Glowers,

Today, on my morning run, I ran past at least 10 of the most beautiful red/auburn-leaved trees. And at each one that I ran past I stopped to take a photo because they looked like screensavers and really made the neighborhood look gorgeous. The last tree in this photo had a sunray beaming next to it, which I didn’t notice until after I took it and walked back into the house and went through all of them. I know that this has to be a metaphor for a few things:

1. When you start to find the beauty in life and become grateful for everything, the Universe conspires to give you more things to be grateful for.

2. Your journey will reveal to you everything you need to know about yourself through people, through losses, through experiences, through love, and through nature – if you just pay attention.

3. There’s always God’s light at the end of a dark tunnel.

Enjoy today and go find your sunray!

One Special Way to Say Thank You and I’m Thinking of You

posted in: Life Coach, Shop | 2

Hey, Glowers!

Today’s essentials for my arsenal includes:

1. A 314-page special edition O Magazine book called Dream Big.

2. My journal.

3. My personalized Thank You notes that I’m writing to a few people today.

When I was little, a friend of our family bought me my first personalized stationery set, to which my grandparents then taught me about the importance of hand-writing ‘thank you’s’ and ‘thinking of you’ cards to people I’m grateful for. That stationery set and life lesson were 2 of the greatest gifts I’ve ever received.

And my close friends, family and even a few favorite former coworkers probably have about 5 of these kinds of cards from me over the years (that’s how many sets I’ve had! Ha!)

I like to sit down and let God use me to write to people I’m thinking about and grateful for and let them know. No special holiday is needed. Gratitude is my attitude.

So who are you gonna write to today? Or who can you encourage? I challenge you to spread some love and light today and hand-write a personal letter or card to that person you’re grateful for and thinking about. Appreciation and edification is a beautiful thing.

Until the next post, GO and GLOW!

How to Make Your Environment More Vibrant

posted in: Life Coach | 2

vibrantHey Glowers! If you’ve been anxious lately about going to work and being in the same monotonous, dreary environment, here are 5 quick tips to make your day more vibrant:

1. Meditate for 15-30 minutes every morning. Go in a quiet room or closet in your house and start your day by gifting yourself with some stillness.

2. Go for a quick run or workout. Go get your adrenaline pumping and stimulate your senses. When you work out or run first thing in the morning (as opposed to when you get off) you energize yourself and you’re more likely to go to work with a positive attitude and clear ideas, which communicates success to your colleagues and manager.

3. Eat a healthy breakfast. We’re all guilty of running out of the house some mornings without eating breakfast, but the fact that you’re already running late and you haven’t had a nutritious meal can set off the chaos (attracted from the outside) that will come when you haven’t balanced yourself from the inside.

4. Wear a vibrant, colorful dress or shirt/tie. We know that colors represent our moods, so wear something bright to enhance the mood of not just yourself, but the whole office.

5. Give a compliment. When you’re generous and kind with your words, you can change the whole alchemy of the office. Make a habit of complimenting someone in your office for an entire week. They can be different people, or the same person. People love it when others edify them. So, speak respectfully to someone as well as about them. Acknowledge them for something they did that was helpful to you or to the staff. Acknowledge someone for cleaning out the fridge at work, or when they wear a beautiful dress. Make people feel important and helpful.

Remember to always spread love and light, especially in environments you’ll have to be in permanently. You want to create and foster a peaceful space for yourself and your colleagues. Productivity is doubled when you have happy, vibrant people working together!

Until the next blog post, Go and Glow!
